Life at 19

Things I've Learned About Life By Age 19.

  • No one truly believes in you. Why should they? However, once you've reached success they will all claim they believed.
  • You can be connected to family by blood, but not by spirit. Ultimately family only means you come from a similar background and obtain similar genetics. Nothing more.
  • Your circle of friends is literally a self reflection of yourself. Yes, if your friends are some lazy potheads that still live with mom and dad , you're probably very similar to them as much as you'd like to deny it.
  • If the price of your headphones is equivalent to your paycheck, you shouldn't have them.  Buy what you can afford. Ex. Family on Welfare that somehow still manages to buy 180$ shoes for their kids.
  • "Money is the root of all evil" is poor people talk. More money equals Better health, Better (safer) homes, Better education and overall a less worried life. You don't have to worry about either going broke or saving your mothers life.
  • The more educated you are, the less friends you will have. After my first of year at the University of Houston-Downtown, I've lost over 80% of my so called friends. Their jokes keep getting more childish and slowly overtime keeping their friendship serves nothing more but a waste of time or a distraction.
  • Don't have children at a young age. Once your child is born, life isn't about you but about the baby. In such a competitive era with your numbers of reaching success so low, having a child only ruins your odds.
  • Unless your girlfriend or boyfriends has the same vision planned as you, they probably shouldn't be there. YOU NEED TO FOCUS. Once you commit to someone you have an entire other life you have to look after. You double your responsibilities, lose time and overall lose money. The best time one should commit is once they have played the field and learned exactly what they want from another person. That and having the moneymaking business set.
  •  Pets are a luxury. If you don't have the time to walk your dog on a daily basis or the money to afford future veterinarian visits, don't get one.
  • Gender and Race truly do affect your chances in making it out in the real world. A white male has a much higher chance than a Hispanic male in making it in life. Just like like the Hispanic man has a much higher chance in making it, than a African American women. Its the truth.
  • The idea that gym heads are stubborn and obnoxious is a myth. The so called gym heads I have met in several gyms are some of the most  brilliant individuals I have ever met. Not only do they have a very disciplined way of living health wise, but they also have some of the most disciplined ways of thinking. Like Victor Pride from Bold and Determined says" Top physical shape is an indicator of top mental health."
  • Pay attention to time and money. If your aren't planning your future the harsh truth is that you're probably already where you re going to be in five years. Every time you get paid you should have more money than you had the week before. If your money isn't constantly growing you have a problem.
  • Practicing frugality is a great way to ensure that your maximizing your savings after every paycheck.
  • Don't fucking rent, Buy and rent to those not smart enough to buy. Renting a house is the same as throwing out a stack of hundred dollar bills out the window every month.
  • To be continued.......
